A pump must maintain a minimum velocity of flow to ensure no solids are deposited in the sewer pipework. The calculators below can be used to determine the self-cleaning velocity based on the litres/second of your pump and the diameter of your discharge pipework. If the velocity isn’t enough, a warning will be displayed.
